getting a little more out ~there~

as the name of the post might suggest, this post will "feature" or "highlight" if you will, music that "pushes" my blog's "boundaries"......but not really. im just trying to "capture" your "attention"

but in all seriousness, the two songs im highlighting are much different from the past things i've posted. i like them and if i didn't i obviously wouldnt be wasting my/your time talking about them.

let's start with whats "less weird" and work our way from there!




~ Twin Stars (Lone Remix) ~
this song is by Solar Bears. Admittedly, it's not all that weird or at least i dont think so. i like the song b/c it has that kind of mystical/space quality/style/something that sort of reminds me of a more cracked out version of Daft Punk's Voyager. This song is deff much less "chill" but then i'm not a very "chill" person. Anyway, the song is just nice to listen to, daydream. look at the sun falling through the leaves (lol @ self-reference [and being a huge tool while doing it!])

this song is by Slagsmlsklubben (i think they go by SMK for short) and i was first introduced to them by Jeeta. This song is much harder than most of what i've posted but i really like it. The intro is great, really builds some tension. I sort of see this song as a darker version of the previous one. I'll admit when the song gets all "blippy" and "bloppy" it is sort of annoying but when all of that fades away it's perfect, just turn it up and "feel da \\B\\E\\E\\T\\".....also: i apologize for the intensely crappy visuals of the video

~ Nerve Salad ~
Simian Mobile Disco is by far one of my favorite acts/bands/group/idk what to call them. i was supposed to see them @ Social in Paris but life intervened. STILL REALLY WANT TO SEE THEM. this song is probably the least accessible in the group. the song is cool it's even better with the video, which i can no longer find. 2bh, it's hard to explain why i like this song, but i do.

so my prev post on Miami Horror "inspired" me to delve into the band's "past" and i "re-discovered" their song "Sometimes"

Im not going to lie, some of their music is not my thing but this song really does it for me. IDK why that is, maybe its a "well constructed song"- like i would really know.....to me, the song seems like the perfect mix of Empire of the Sun + Phoenix + Delphic + Disco..ZOMGAWD i get a lil "hot n bothered" just thinking about it! (meta-joke right der)

along with the "original" song im going to include a "remix" that i really "like" lol....i wish i had more to say about why i like them but im not sure i know enough about music to really do that. just know they are really great!?!?!?!?!?!?!.......i actually really REALLY want you Y O U to "like" them as much as i do!!!!1
