scrolling through hypem today while procrastinating, i came across GDD-Tre, who i've never heard of. Anyway, their song "The Killing Sun" is really "doing it for me right now." im not sure it has much "mainstream" appeal but wtfc!

I must admit that although i really like this song right now, i could see myself getting a little tire of it

either way, i like it's b/c it's what you might describe as "spacey," "dark" and "anxious"....all things i can relate to this week!

anyway, the end of school IS LIKE OMFG WTF HERE less than a month till graduation.
obviously, i have mixed feelings about this, thankfully i have enough work to keep my mind off of the fact that i don't really know what i will do post-graduation....

the "..." could really go on 4-EVER

to commemorate my A-MAZING music taste (jokes!) and my IN-TERESTING senior year in Rural Isolation (Upstate NY) Im sharing with all of you (YOU!!) some of my 'best hits." these are the songs that i would listen to repeatedly regardless of the circumstance. I could be pulling an all-nighter, running, pre-gaming, or just walking. really, these activities were just excuses to listen to these songs! (that's at least 3/4 true for running)

I must admit that i have a 2.5 extremely long playlists dedicated to Senior Year Muzic Memz, i decided that these song would "really stand out in my mind" if sum1 asked me to select a few of my favs

although, this isn't a very fair representation to some extent...i chose these songs at like 530 this morning

i could be really annoying and give a little anecdote for each song, about a memory or a moment but i think that is both stupid and time consuming....and thinking about it, im not totally sure i could dig up a specific memory for EACH OF THESE SONGS. i mean, they define a year of experiences!!! It's actually sort of a-musing though, a lot of these songs "remindED me of paris," are they now going to remind me of Hamilton? WTF!? AM I GOIING TO LOSE ALL MY MEMZ? maybe these songs will just "define my early twenties"

i have two songs to share that have me "beaming internally" (LOL)

1. "Sunshine Eyes" - Polarsets

Like 1/2 of the songs i think i've ever posted about, i found this on Kitsuné's website. Like ALL of the songs i've ever posted about I REALLY like it too. it's really just gr8. the beginning/intro reminds me a lot of Yeasayer's Ambling Alt whichhhhhhh reminds me of P****S...as most of the songs i've written about do BUT this song is for CREATING NEW SPRING MEMORIEZZZZ of too much work, very little sun, rural isolation, and a (potentially) jobless future. = ( / = D LOL economic recession!!!


2. "2 Hearts" - Digitalism or "<3 <3" [lolilol]

Digitalism is one of my favorite groups. I saw them in P***S and it was FANTASTIC. This song is markedly different from their others, which might alienate some long time fans while attracting new ones! who knows?!? lol. I found this song through RCDLBL which compared it to a LCD Soundsytem song among other things. I don't totally agree with this tbh. The blog, toomanysebastians compared it to Delphic which I find more appropriate. the vocals make me think of The Teenagers but wtvr, that's just my opinion.

on a side note: the depressing image of rain isn't something i found on the internet. it's actually a photo taken from my drive way @ home in the SUB-suburbs of SEA (read: the woods). SO SICK OF RURAL ENVIROS, honestly!

when i was there i was really digging Delorean. I still do. RAC remixed "Stay Close" and I am a fan. brings back all those memories of smoking on my balcony in spring, drinking in parks, etc etc (the list is endless)
